Elmont Post 1033

Commander’s Message

As we go into a new year, I would like to thank everyone for working with me throughout 2015-2016.  We were able to again accomplish many great things throughout the year, one of the main things was to be able to redo the exterior of the building.  After many years of neglect, it should be strong enough to last for many more years to come.  All the things which we were able to accomplish, was through us working together as a cohesive unit and a family.  Again thanks to all the members of the Post.

This past year we have lost some of our brothers, and a sister who all have been very instrumental to the vitality of our Post.  We will miss all out fallen and I ask that we all continue to pray for our brothers and sisters, not just our Post members and their families, but also for the soldiers who are still in harm’s way fighting for our continued freedom.

Our Ladies Auxiliary, Sons and the Legion Riders are all integral parts of our Legion family.  They have all helped to make us who we are and continue to so on a regular basis.

I would like to remind everyone that whenever we have fundraisers, these events are as said, so please come out to support and let us all continue to work together as a family, and celebrate together as one unit.

As we go into the winter, please do not forget that we do have a vibrant Veterans Day parade so please come out and join us.  We also have winter Stand Down, and volunteers are needed to help out fellow Veterans who are in need.

Please continue to check our website calendar for all upcoming events.

Again I am asking everyone who does not possess a uniform, to please try and obtain one.  Some of our events do require for us to be in uniform.  Please see Eric Spinner to obtain the information on how to purchase a uniform.

Thank you all again for your support during the past year, and I look forward to an even better 2016-2017 year.

Your Commander
