Commander’s Message
As the 2022 Legion year commences, we can look back over the past 2 years and have much pride in our organization, community and our members. We were able to survive the pandemic, due to organizations within our community, for which we are very thankful for.
Members and officers alike are coming together for both work and fun. For 2022 so far, we have replaced one of our ice machine, and have had our roof replaced due to a wonderful donation of a company within our community, for which we are very grateful for. We have continued to have our air duct system cleaned on a more frequent basis due to covid-19. We still continue have contracts and service warranties for all our equipment throughout the building.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we have had to cancel out Law and Order and Brotherhood awards, due to financial constraints and covid-19. We are very hopeful that we will be back up and running with these events in the near future.
During COVID-19, we have continued to follow the Governor and our Town Executive to be in compliance with keeping everyone safe. We continue to have sanitizing stations throughout the building, and encourage members and guests to use them. Please everyone be safe during these unprecedented times.
All of our organizations under The Legion umbrella have been assigned a wall upstairs, and the individual walls have been completed. We are still adding new members every month. All of our organizations have been up and running under the umbrella of The Legion this past year and continue to do so. Let’s continue along this path through The Legion’s centennial year and beyond.
